‘Two ways to catch a dream ‘ (Highjacked art work)

Aung Thiha’s boy fishing relates to a recent artworks I have created. Fishing is a universal preoccupation of small boys and men alike. Fishing for food, fishing for hope, fishing for dreams.

I am a self taught artist and illustrator. I work predominantly in spray paint and stencils producing works on both a commercial and private commission basis. My main artistic influences are drawn from music, art, and my local urban environment. I work in this medium as it inspires me and combines my printmaking skills and appreciation of graffiti. I am a founding member of the Cut Collective. We are a well established art collective who specialize in large scale installations and commercial design. We have had recent shows in the Dowse Gallery, Auckland City Art Gallery and Dunedin City Art Gallery.  Dunedin City Gallery is our largest scale project wall to date measuring 24 x 11 metres.
